Single line text box Note The following information helps you to create the single line text box that appears on your form. If you would like some introductory text to precede the text box, you must add that text separately. In the Name field, enter an attribute name that will be used to identify this form element. This name is required, but is not visible within the form. In Initial value, enter a default value that will display within the text box when visitors see your form. In Width, you can specify the length of the text box. We recommend a width of 60 or less, to ensure that the text box fits on your page. In Max characters, you can set a limit on the number of characters that a visitor can type in the text box. Password allows you to replace the characters that a visitor types by displaying asterisks. Click the Conceal characters checkbox to display asterisks. HTML Mode brings you to an advanced screen where you can customize the text box using HTML tags. Note that this feature requires knowledge of HTML. Close Help Window |
